Hi Erik,

this is the message I sent you (and also to the mailing list) on July 19th.

Dear all,

I compiled STk 2.2 using gcc 2.7.0 under SunOS 4.1.3 and Solaris 2.4, building
also two separate versions of STk with BLT 1.7 (one for each architecture) using
the BLT 1.7 for STk 2.1.6.

The compilation worked fine and STk seems to run without problems.

When using BLT Drag&Drop functions, a problem raises.

An example can be found in the palette.stklos D&D demo. When clicking with the
right button on a draggable object, the error

] *** Read from string error:
] end of file while reading a string

raises, the error form is shown and the D&D operation seems to work (sometimes
works, sometimes you obtain an error like:
] X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
] Major opcode of failed request: 3 (X_GetWindowAttributes)
] Resource id in failed request: 0x30037e5
] Serial number of failed request: 4127
] Current serial number in output stream: 4127)

Asking to look at the stak, you obtain

] (blt_drag&drop (quote drag) .red.sample 824 459)
] <<< STACK BOTTOM >>>

Where is the problem? Any suggestion?

Thanks for any answer

Giorgio
