Extension of TK to support pixmaps

There is an extension to Tcl available that allows user defined pixmaps
to be used. The user can draw to a pixmap using Xlib calls and display
the pixmap by a menubutton, menu, button, or canvas pixmap. This
extension was made for TK 3.6.

Has anyone modified this extension for STk? Has anyone done anything
similar that they would like to share?
