It's not hanging; If you invoke stk, not snow, it goes into the main
event processing loop after evaluating the file specified in the
command line. (Note that stk always creates a toplevel window
although it isn't visible until you explicity create and map one
of the child windows.)
I think this feature is usually preferable when you write a GUI
application.
