As far as I know, there is no port of STk on Mac system, and I will probably
not do it ;-). However, if the Tcl/Tk port is correctly running, it should be
relatively easy for a Mac programmer. As an example, it tooks me 2 or 3 days
to port snow on windows (most of my time was spent in learning how to use
BC++, and in rebooting on Linux for greping things, because I don't have took
the time to find decent tools on Windows).
The port of the graphical part took me less than a week but I spent most of my
time to find how to connect a console to my program and howto make a select on
the standard input (nearly 2 days on this last problem before to decide to use
a thread for manging input). I suppose that a Windows programme should have
resolved all this problems in half a day, but this is the first time I work on
Windows. Of course, the port is not finished (as I said in a previous message)
and I will have some surprise for finishing it. But, until now the problem I
had were not with the program itself but with my unknowledge of the system...
If there a Mac hacker on the mailing list tempted to begin a port?
