I wonder if there is a command to evaluate a string *directly* as
a tcl command. For example,
(tcl-eval "set a {abc ddd}")
This will provide a valuable loop hole for the user in situations
when direct tcl scripts is more convenient (say third-party tk
packages), or stk temporarily does not support some tcl/tk
features yet.
