drag and drop

Hi Group.

Has anyone done much work on drag and drop? I am looking for some pointers
on how to implement drag and drop between two (or more!) listboxes. I
would like for the item selected to be highlighted, and move with the mouse
pointer. Does this mean I should use a canvas with embedded listboxes?
Any help is welcome.
