I fact, why not directly supress the script.

stk might be a link on the correct stk-bin.
(if you use multiple architecture you surely have a directory dedicated
to each architectures, or at least a variable path depending on the
architecture)

STK_LIBRARY can be set in the .profile/.login of the user, and it
is anyway hard coded in the binaries/libraries, isn't it ?

Then no more need for the launcher and the like and one can simply use

#!/usr/bin/local/stk -f

which is the same as usual.
