New release

I agree with Marc. Why not make the changes of prefixing globals with
"STk_" now & make the release, since it has to eventually be done
anyway. What a pain that C doesn't have packages! But, I also agree
with Marc in that I haven't written any extensions, so I'm not
concerned about compatibility.
