Makefile wishes (was Re: Help with LIB_MALLOC during build )

Fixing the _at_LIB_MALLOC@ problem should be done by outcommenting the
line in `Makefile.in' in order to have the change live through
reconfigurations.

But while we are discussing the makefiles, here's some additional
wishes for the next release:

It would be really nice if the makefiles would use $(MAKE) rather than
just make, so that it would be possible to do a toplevel replace of
the make to use.

It would also be nice if STk would support the --src option of
configure. As it stands now, you can only build STk if you configured
it in the source directory.
